The Den: A warehouse-like building (owned or leased by a krewe) that serves as a workshop and nerve center for fabricating, preparing and staging Carnival parades and balls. Floats, scenery, props and sometimes costumes are typically stored at a den, which also serves as a venue for krewe functions (e.g., a "den party").
